p2p news / p2pnet: Western Sahara sites arso.org, cahiersdusahara.com, cahiersdusahara.com, wsahara.net and spsrasd.info websites have all been inaccessible in Morocco since 21 November, says Reporters Without Borders.
“These sites all criticise Morocco’s control of Western Sahara and encourage protests, but they do not call for violence,” it states.
Anyone trying to get into the sites is met with a connection failure-type of error message.
“The decision to block may have been taken by the communication ministry, which is responsible for censorship, or the interior ministry, while monitors the Sahrawi problem,” says RFW.
But, it points out, “Local sources said the filtering can nonetheless be easily sidestepped by using an online proxy such as www.anonymizer.com.”
ARSO - the Free and Legitimate Referendum in Western Sahara Support Association - carried photos on its website in September showing Sahrawi prisoners “being held in extremely harsh condition in the prison in El Ayoum, the territory’s main city,” says the story, adding:
“The local state prosecutor reacted by ordering an investigation with the aim of ‘exposing all those implicated in this vile act that jeopardises the reputation of the prison where the inmates are held’.”

The so-called Morocco (EL-Maghreb) has been divided into Algeria, Mauritania, Morocco, Tchad, and Tunisia. Historians documented tons of French-British-Spanish accords signed between Britain, France, and Spain in Paris and Madrid in particular; the French Musuem of History has several original documents signed by Maghrebian tribe leaders (except for Raissuly) probably without understanding the details of its content writen in French and Spanish/English, the Maghreb was without official boundaries until the 18th century; Spain, and France never planned for any Western Sahara! Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Tchad, and Tunisia will eventually join to form back “The Great Maghreb”!
