New MPAA student scheme
p2pnet news view | Kids & Kartels:- How’s this for sheer, sick cynicism?
The Big Six movie cartel’s MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America’s) is already flooding schools and universities with slick advance promo packets purporting to be ‘educational’ materials.
Now it’s announced a partnership with Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) to “sponsor an upcoming, nationwide student competition for anti-piracy public service announcements (PSAs),” says The Heights, the Boston College online newspaper.
“SIFE was chosen as they run a competition every year, are a good fit, and place emphasis on business ethics,” MPAA spokeswoman Gayle Osterberg is quoted as saying.
SIFE was “chosen” because it’s a perfect cover for the MPAA as it further propagates its totally self-serving get ‘em while they’re young propaganda.
And what possible connection could the MPAA have with “business ethics”?
