This is just really childish nonsense. Try on the 'I'm an academic? then break all the rules of proper debate. The blogger forgot to mention that tony morris was referred to as the boy sent to do a man's job by the Australian Newspaper.

the I hope you lose comment....isn't it amazing those professing to study copyright law with an obvious intention to make it their profession are often suggesting they are so against it. I wonder if this behaviour and attitude will come up at any future employment interview or are the views so lamentable that employment in the copyright club can never happen?

Good on John Hennessy for having the decency not to offend the blogger with a more realistic assessment of her position

I am an independant casual observer, and I also think John Hennessey is doing the right thing and for the winning side. All opinions about Cartels aside, Filesharing of unauthorised copyright materials is stealing,is theft and is wrong. That is coming from someone who despises what Sony has done recently. This "filesharing" issue goes way way beyond music and movies. An individual or organisation has the right to be able to sell, be paid and have discretion over distribution of their intellectual creations, wether they be boat or house designs, print articles, etc etc etc. There is probably no stopping the open source non advertising supported filesharing networks yet, but the leacherous parisitic Kazaa's and Groksters etc as well as their executives, backers and benefactors could and should be prosecuted into oblivion for the their blatant activities .
