Dick Cheney and his iPod

p2p news / p2pnet: We’ve had a gut-full of the ad nauseum hyping of all things Apple, but here’s a story we couldn’t resist.

Dick Cheney, the main man in the Cheney/Bush US presidential team, is apparently an iPod cultist. Just like George W.

So, “After a four-day overseas trip that took him to four countries in the Middle East, Vice President Dick Cheney really wanted to get his iPod charged for that long return flight to Washington,” says ABC News.

“Since it is his plane, the vice president’s iPod took priority and was plugged into one of the only working power outlets on Air Force Two, frustrating reporters who were trying to file stories.”

So what was it Cheney just had to listen to? “The vice president’s iPod library ranges from country to classical, according to an administration official,” says the story.

“He has a good amount of music from the 1940s and 1950s (oldies but goodies) and apparently is fond of Johnny Cash.”

George W likes country too, not to mention the Knack’s My Sharona.

“Last week, in an interview with Fox News, President Bush revealed that he has an iPod Shuffle,” says ABC News, quoting Bush as summing it up thus:

“Lightweight and crank it on, and you shuffle the Shuffle”.

Um, Yes, George.

Rumours that both Cheney and Bush are heavy iPod investors are cruel and unworthy.

How dare someone get in the way of a reporter who wants to change the world its own image (”its” is correct for a robot of mass media). Don’t people realize that reporters consider themselves royalty?

It’s Dick Cheney’s plane??? that funny, I thought it belonged to the tax payers. I had’nt read anything in the papers about him stealing that too.

Bush should be on trial right next to Saddam Hussein, along with Rumsfeld & Cheney & Rice. They’re ALL war criminals and former friends in torturing & killing innocent civilians.
