Continuing p2pnet load problems

p2p news / p2pnet: We’re still having difficulties with p2pnet page loading which sometimes becomes extremely slow and the notice, “The site database appears to be down” is showing every now and then.

We’ve had a couple of emails asking when this’ll be resolved. From the look of it, not until Monday or Tuesday.

Part of the problem (and it’s one we’re happy to have ; ) is down to the fact some posts, particularly those centering on the RIAA’s ridiculous sue ‘em all marketing campaign, are attracting significant numbers of visits, many of them as a direct result of mainstream media stories, with all that implies.

The other part of the problem is being caused by a hardware failure on our server which, unfortunately, can’t be fixed until Monday at the earliest.

But as I said yesterday, we’ll get things sorted as soon as possible.

Cheers! And thanks again for your patience : )

Things happen Jon. It’s the nature of the beast. Hang in there and know we’re still around. Prehaps this extra load of visitors also accounts for why the trolls are attempting to do damage control and paying a few more visits and staying far more active than the usual level. In otherwords, the cartels know they have stepped in it and are trying once again to do damage control while proceeding with the theme that everything is as it should be.

Funny that part, you never see them till it is damage control time.

    Odd…

No problems in the Rocky Mountains, USA! It loads right up, no problem.

Boy, did you say a mouthfull!!! I’m surprized that the RIAA (if you check their site and see that their headquartered in Washington, D.C.) hasn’t had this site shut down altogether!
