This is it for p2pnet until 2006

p2p news / p2pnet: The difficulties we’ve been having over the past few days with p2pnet page loading are calling for more drastic remedies that we’d expected.

We’re now moving the entire site to new servers and we’ll soon be back to normal speed, or even faster.

We won’t be posting any more stories until we have everything properly organized, so all the best for the New Year —- and beyond.

Have fun. But take care tonight. Make sure you enter 2006 in peace instead of pieces: )

Cheers! And thanks again for your patience : )

See you in 2006 : D

Happy new year, Jon and everyone else. :D
I can’t wait for the new server, the lag these last few days was really annoying. Good to know that finally you’ll be getting a new one.
    Happy new year again, everyone!

Hope everything goes well with the server move. And Happy New Years!

Hope that 2006 brings some success for the P2P world (creators and audiences) against the ancient, incumbent, and well financed intermediaries.

I also have a suggestion for Canadians reading this: Don’t just complain about stupid politicians being bought by the intermediaries. Do something about it.

In my case I donated $250 to the Charlie Angus campaign in hopes that by having a fellow creators in parliament that understands the problems with CRIA (CMPDA, CAAST, Access Copyright, etc) then we have a chance.

Putting money where my mouth is.

I don’t know whether to say what a way to start out a new year with a new server site or to say, dang sure hope the New Year brings you better luck, Jon.

Either way, here’s to wishing all the regulars the very best and the hopes that all is well for the ringing in of the New Years celebration.

Catflap, Russell, and Jon, I hope to continue this year as last year with the ongoing reading great articles and comments. Prehaps I won’t be so taken with biting on some of Jon’s originals as I have in the past but no guarentees. To all I haven’t mentioned and to those that purposely enjoy the Anonymous Coward status, I look forward to some of those great comments!

Best to all for the start of a great new one!

Good luck with the servers and don’t worry about the downtime. It happens.

    Happy new year to all.

I look to P2PNET as an important vehicle to insure that the a free Internet is used to the max for the benefit of most people, to tell the people what the media hushes up. To Jon and others, keep up the great work.
