Opera confirms Motorola deal
p2pnet.net News:- Norway’s Opera has confirmed that it and Motorola’s Personal Communications Sector (PCS) have signed a licensing agreement which means the Opera Internet browser will feature on multiple Motorola PCS handsets.
The announcement comes on the heels of Opera’s decision to apply for public listing on the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE) next month.
The PCS agreement also provides Motorola PCS with a licensing power for the Opera Platform, a full integration solution between handheld devices’ local applications and operator’s online content,” says Opera here.
“This announcement complements last week’s Opera and Motorola Global Software Group joint product and distribution agreement announcement.
Opera will allow operators to integrate tailored content with the main screens of customers’ handsets.
“All content can be easily made to be dynamically updated over the air at any time, thus strengthening operator brand development and customer loyalty,” says Opera.
Opera’s browser technology is cross-platform and modular and available on the Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Symbian OS, QNX, TRON, FreeBSD, Solaris and Mediahighway systems.
