Livedoor boss arrested
p2p news / p2pnet: Takafumi Horie, the man who started Livedoor, Japan’s most (in)famous Net company, has been arrested, together with three other executives.
In revelations that have ” shaken Japan’s business world and stock market,” they’re said to have given misleading information to shareholders, says the BBC.
And fears are that, “more problems may emerge”.
“Talk in the market about Livedoor going bankrupt or being broken up and sold is strong,” the Daiwa Institute of Research said in a report, staes the story.
Horie has repeatedly, and vehemently, denied any wrongdoing, says the BBC, quoting him as posting oin his blog, “I have no recollection of doing anything we are under suspicion for.”
