p2p news / p2pnet: Users of eBay’s Skype Net phone service will be soon be offered ringtones from Warner Music performers including Madonna, Green Day and Mike Jones.

"Luxembourg-based Skype charges €1 (68p, or about $1.21) per ringtone, continues the Telegraph. "Or they can use its traditional ringing alert for free."

But under the Warner deal, "Each 30 second sound clip will cost $1.50 and follows similar deals that the music arm of Warner Brothers has made with the mobile phone industry," says PC Pro, adding, "The deal with Warner is expected to be only the first of a series of announcements with the other major labels."
