Swedish cop in ‘blog’ case
p2p news / p2pnet: Stockholm police are to investigate whether or not a policeman committed a crime when he blogged about the furore surrounding Social Democrat Youth leader Anna Sjödin, said to have hit a Crazy Horse doorman when he tried to escort her out of the pub.
She was arrested at the pub, in central Stockholm, on January 28. The officer is suspected publishing details from the police inquiry on his private blog, says The Local, going on:
"Mats Vangstad, head of operations at Stockholm police, told the newspaper Metro that he has spoken to the policeman and that he will hand over the case to internal investigators.
"According to Aftonbladet, the policeman quoted colleagues who were on the scene after the row. He wrote of a policeman who said of Sjödin that ’she was insanely drunk and being cocky with everyone’."
Sjödin, "suspected of at least three incidences of violence," says she’s the victim and, "reported the doorman who threw her out of the bar to the police," accusing him of assault, abuse and false accusations,” adds The Local.

The problem with blogs is that ppl forget that ANYONE can stumble across them. This guys blog was probly only read by his colleagues up to this point so he figured it wouldn’t matter what he said on it. Then someone obviously searched under the chicks name and found his blog and now he’s up the creek.
Everyone who has a blog should realise that it’s permanent. Even if the site goes down it’ll get cached. Also anyone can and probably will read it. So unless it’s something you’d be happy to tell the entire world, including all the trigger happy lawyers out there, don’t blog it!
