Are there any updates on the case? Did the manufacturers of music CDs and film DVDs manage to form a coalition with legislative justices to destroy the constitution, or is Patti battling onward to prevent it?

Agreed Patti needed a lawyer. But she needed the right lawyer. Not a lawyer who spends time campaigning for the Democrats, writes blogs about Bush stealing the election and then uses Patti as a pawn in his political ambitions and financial plans. The publicity that Raymond Beckerman has received from this case guarantees him a bit of income for a while….

Poor Patti

Although badly advised, great principles, a really decent person. Driven by desparation she has fallen into the hands of a shyster, a snake oil salesman who promises and has so far failed to deliver.

Having failed at the first hurdle, he has dumped her with a wholly fictitious bill of over $24k and forced her to declare herself attorney of her own record, forcing her to appoint an inexperienced counseller

The begging bowl is being circulated to pay for her original lawyer’s fees, and now being used to fund another lawyer.

Will she win? Well, she’s failed every step of the way so far. Her principles of honesty seem to fall short of telling the court who actually did do the filesharing. Patti, for the love of God, tell the whole truth and spare yourself from this farce

Ask yourselves why. Is it because some people are revelling in the publicity this brings them? Is she being manipulated to serve someone else’s agenda? Patti, we all want you to win, but the realists know that this is a spent cause. Tell them the whole truth, about yourself, the person who really did the filesharing and about your lawyer’s intentions.

Seems to me the real sheep are the ones that blindly accept what the TV says, believe that the law is always truthful and correct.

So perhaps dear Eclectica, you can explain the discrepancy of a bill of $24000 (which is due to be paid by Mrs Santangelo) for legal work done by Ray Beckerman, when the motion to dismiss should cost $1000 or less?

And on that subject perhaps Jon Newton could explain if the money raised for the defence is going to be used to pay that ludicrous bill??!!!

Perhaps the NY state bar should be asked to look at the goings on…

I move on faith here. That Patti is an adult that can make Adult decisions. That she now has had the council of two seperate lawyers from two seperate firms.

Are you a lawyer?

Maybe you are a doctor.

If she gets sick…she should listen to a doctor.
