Democracy video player
p2p news / p2pnet: The Participatory Culture Foundation (PCF) has released the beta of its open-source Net video player, Democracy.
Available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, it includes built-in video search: "just type your search terms into the player (formerly known as DTV in its previous Mac beta releases) and see what there is to watch out there on the web".
You can also ‘bomb‘ videos you like from within Democracy player, linking up with the Videobomb.com website.
The PCF says the Democracy Channel Guide, open to public submissions, now features more than 300 channels, and fee video publishing software provides, "instant video capacity for individuals and organizations".
Not only but also, "Optional BitTorrent publishing makes broadcasting video affordable for anyone."
