OT news / p2pnet: Here’s a Chinese censorship encounter of the third kind.
A 88.5-meter- long and 7.5-meter- high "love wall," made of marble bricks was erected close to the Beijing-Zhangjiajie highway on February 14 and, "Couples in love can carve their names in one brick, after paying 999 yuan (US $ 124.87)," says the Beijing News.
The 88.5-meter- long and 7.5-meter- high "love wall," made of marble bricks, was built in one of the Great Wall preservation areas close to the Beijing-Zhangjiajie highway on February 14 and, "Couples in love can carve their names in one brick, after paying 999 yuan (US $ 124.87)," says the story.
"Four couples in total have left their names scribed in the love wall."
But the the "Love Great Wall" has been terminally censored.
"After an investigation, the Changping District government reported this to Beijing’s Administration of Cultural Heritage, which eventually shut the project down," says the Beijing News, adding:
"Changping District authority halted the operation of the love wall immediately and abolished its management office, as well as all the advertisements along the Beijing-Zhangjiajie highway."
