KFC Fear Burger
p2p news / p2pnet: To us, the KFC burger on the right looks like something seriously gross out of Fear Factor.
But Kentucky Fried Chicken thinks people might actually be persuaded to want to eat one – if only they don’t time shift past the promos.
KFC, “unveiled a new TV ad Thursday that allows viewers to crack a hidden message if they play the spot back slowly on a digital video recorder or VCR,” says Associated Press.
“The gimmick is aimed at countering the rise of technology that enables television viewers to skip past commercials faster than ever before.”
For those, “savvy enough to solve the secret, the prize is a coupon for KFC’s new, sauce-drenched Buffalo Snacker chicken sandwich.”
Pass ;P

kfc needs a new webmaster that can calculate
it asks for your date of birth, which then proceeds to tell you that participants have to be over the age of 18
now when i entered 1983, it told me i was underage
tried 1979, and still tells me i’m underage
they know how to make chicken, but don’t depend on them to verify your age

No, it looks normal, and it would not even look half like that when it gets served to you. I hope they spit in yours.

I used to love KFC till I discovered Popeye’s. Fried chicken, fried fish, and fried shrimp I’m in fried heaven. Though I see that KFC now has a fish snacker sandwich they are trying to lure me back.

Isn’t there a law against “subliminal” messages concealed in ads? If not there ought to be. Supposedly they can be used for sneaky psychological effects.

If it does have a web beacon (and it most likely does) all you’re doing is clicking their counter up and giving them your IP address.
