Morpheus gets into VoIP
Morpheus owner StreamCast Networks and i2Telecom International say together, they’re entering the telephone Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) marketplace.
For i2Telecom, the deal opens a channel to millions of Net users users "who are proven early adopters of technology" and StreamCast gets "first-mover status into VoIP for file-sharing clients," say the companies.
2Telecom’s micro-gateway product suite, including the Morpheus InternetTalker and its worldwide network, enables Internet users anywhere to cut long distance phone costs.
"This is a giant first step by our company into VoIP and furthers our strategy of melding the users of disparate P2P networks into one global community," says StreamCastceo Michael Weiss.
