Bound By Law
p2p news / p2pnet: The Duke Center for the Public Domain released the knockout “Bound By Law” comic book about fair use and filmmaking, Cory Doctorow posted in BoingBoing in February.
It, “riffs expertly on classic comic styles, from the Crypt Keeper to Mad Magazine, superheros to Understanding Comics, and lays out a sparkling, witty, moving and informative story about how the eroded public domain has made documentary filmmaking into a minefield,” he said.
It’s now on sale and, “I just got my copy and I’m loving it to bits,” says Doctorow, adding:
“The comic will be released under a Creative Commons license (natch) and sold online – I’ll post again once it’s on sale so you can get your copy!”

“how the eroded public domain has made documentary filmmaking into a minefield”
Not the “eroded public domain”.
These have made the minefilds in filmaking and many other fields: the lobby eroded legislatures, the foxy copyright cartels and the cartel friendly judges.
