Windows XP on a Mac
p2p news / p2pnet: Do you have an Intel Mac and do you, for some strange, unfathomable reason, want to run Microsoft’s Windows XP on it?
Well, now you can.
The last time we wrote about this, there was $3,097 in the pot for anyone who could make MacWintel happen.
“I told my boss that this would replace my IBM desktop and I could boot Windows XP on it. I am still confident it can be done,” wrote Colin Nederkoorn from Houston, Texas, when he launched the contest.
“I am pledging $100 of my own money and offering anyone else who would like the instructions on how to Dual boot these two operating systems the ability to donate some of their money into the pot as a reward for the person / group that can make dual-booting Mac OS X and Windows XP happen on an Intel Mac.”
The prize money finally hit $13,854, and it all goes to Blanka and Narf.

Will apple be suing someone for this? Not that I think they should, but when something that’s against a given corporation’s interests happens, that corporation tends to sue the ones who made the thing happen, if the corporation can.

Superb. Buy why would you want to run Windows anyways?
