"The good news? Well, we've got plenty of time to conjure up reasons why Vista is going to be better than XP in a way that anyone can understand and agree with."

Well. Obviously that in itself is the REAL reason for vista's delays. Because lets face it, what reasons are there? Even if you believe all the hype (or indeed ANY of it) what reason is there for joe avg pc user to want vista over xp?

Security? Yeah right. There are still ppl out there not running antivirus/antispyware or firewalls. They won't care.

DirectX 10 or whatever theyre calling it? Yeah right. After enough ppl have bought vista to make it worth the devs time to support it. In other words several years after vista comes out, maybe.

Easier networking? Most ppl still don't do that at all anyway. The ones who do, figure it out, or ask someone who knows.

The parental controls? Yeah right, the ppl who'd want to use them will never figure out how to turn them on! And their kids will just search the net to find out how to turn them off anyway.

And the line "Most stable and reliable and fasted yet" is getting old billy the pie and stevie the chair. I think everyone's figured out the missing half of that sentence which is of course "...but only by a few percent."
