p2p news / p2pnet: Brian J. Doyle, 55, deputy press secretary for the US Department of Homeland Security, was, “expected to be placed on administrative leave” after being caught red-handed during a paedophile sting.
He was arrested while he was online with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl but who was actually an undercover detective, says the Associated Press.
“Doyle found the teenager’s profile online and began having sexually explicit conversations with her on the Internet on March 14,” the Florida Polk County sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Reports don’t say which site carried the profile.
“He sent the girl pornographic movie clips, as well as non-sexual photos of himself, officials said,” AP goes on. “One of the photos, released by the sheriff’s office, shows Doyle in what appears to be DHS headquarters. He is wearing a Homeland Security pin on his lapel and a lanyard that says ‘TSA’ [Transportation Security Administration, part of the Homeland Security Department].”
According to AP, Doyle revealed his name, who he worked for and offered his office and government-issued cell phone numbers, the sheriff’s office said.
The Daily Telegraph has sheriff Grady Judd saying many of the conversations were too graphic for public release, and, “What stands out to me the most in this particular case was the fact that Brian, on his first conversation with our undercover detective, who he believed to be a 14-year-old girl, clearly identified himself as a deputy press secretary for Homeland Security.
“If he would provide that kind of information to include a photograph of himself with his identification tags, who else may he be talking to around the world who he thinks to be a 14-year-old girl?”
Doyle already faces 23 felony counts in Florida, and could face charges in an ongoing federal investigation, says the story.

two questions:
1) what child porn did he have? None. So how is that child porn?
2) A Paedophile is someone who is attracted to pre-pubescant children. Since when is 14 years-old pre-pubescant?

Press Secretary??? THe Department of Homeland Defense and the press are two mutually exclusive bodies!! This man is a media person and should not be mistaken for having any connection with or to the Department of Homeland Defense — I personally serve as a Reserves Officer in California’s State Defense Force Division (homeland security) and felt that since this man did not really do any harm, he should be let off the hook. Since learning that he is a media person, I well understand how he can pretend to be so upright on the one-hand, but to also be a scumbag on the other — just like the media has been since the Vietnam era circa 1968.
