Radiohead slags record labels

p2p news / p2pnet: Music industry folks are a, "bunch of fucking retards".

So says Radiohead’s Thom Yorke in Britain’s NME, confirming something we’ve all known for years.

He launched a, "scathing attack on record companies and radio stations as he believes they are only just now looking at the internet for new talent," says the story.

He was speaking about Arctic Monkeys’ rise to fame.

In a promo to the NME interview, "A good thing for new music would be more of the mainstream loosening up a bit and letting stuff through," Yorke is quoted as saying.

"The fact that poor Arctic Monkeys are getting so much attention is purely based on the fact that the mainstream music business is such a bunch of fucking retards as far as I’m concerned."

If only 1/3 the people involved in this industry wouldn’t have their heads so far up the DONS’ wallets and spoke their minds, these regimes would die out quickly considering their bloated overhead.

Technology will take care of them in the long run, I just wish it happened sooner.
