And it stars, “the assets of MP3.com, the former online music purveyor”.
CNET Networks bought the MP3.com domain from Vivendi Universal USA, a subsidiary of France’s Vivendi Universal, in November 2003.
But that was just the name.
Now all the rest of the goodies, and not-so-goodies, owned by MP3.com that was are for the block.
Going to the highest bidder will be:
- 100s of Servers from Sun, Compaq, HP and Dell,
- Clarion EMC Storage Arrays
- Networking from Cisco, Extreme, Foundry, etc.
- 100s of PCs, notebooks, printers, monitors, copiers, fax machines, etc.
- Digital audio and video production and editing equipment …
You get the idea.
And let’s not forget the “Complete 10,000 sq ft health club Game Room including Pool Table, Foosball, Video Arcade Games, Ping Pong, Etc” or the “Collectable Musical instruments”.
This, and a load of other cool items - and we mean a lot - will go for auction March 10-11 at 10:00 am, PST in the former MP3.com corporate offices lat 4780-4790 Eastgate Mall in San Diego, California, and simultaneously through an Internet Webcast.
Auctioneer Cowan Alexander’s preview site is no doubt about to become one of the Net’s Most-Visited.
