Thats because, the mere act of offering a torrent file is NOT fucking copyright infringement. The TORRENT FILE is simply a link to a file. If the Torrent link is to a public domain file, or a file that the owner of the copyright WANTS distributed, it is perfectly legal to share that file.

As a user of Empornium for about 2.5 years, I’m not happy with the acquisition. About 4 months ago I thought Saz was back in control, but nothing seems to have changed. For gods sake the poll hasn’t changed since last August and the latest announcement is dated January 12th. Saz also doesn’t post in the forums anymore.

Everything on p2pnet that isn’t written by me is re-published with the permission of the owners, who frequently tell me about items on their sites.

This article is a case in point.

Even if something is published under a CC license, I’ve asked for direct permission for a re-run.

And as far as p2pnet is concerned, I encourage people to use our stuff.
