What's the essential difference here? In most cases, the spam that originates from Canada is from a US company that has crossed the border to shield themselves from US laws. Their presence in Canada should be rigorously investigated by the RCMP so that they will be forced to re-locate to their 'native' soil, to face penalties there. And as far as Europe is concerned, they see little difference in the geographical location of the US and Canada. To them, the 'Americas' are just that, North and South. Any idiot would know that, if they had any desire to know about the the world at large, instead of being a 'sock-puppet' commentator, with isolationist tendencies.

Quote "America leads the 'dirty dozen' top spam-producing countries"

America is NOT a country. It is two continents. The United States is a country.

Quote ""However, legislation in the UK won't protect users from spam coming from North America or China" ...

... or, presumably, Canada, the second worst offender"

Again, last time I checked Canada was part of North America.
