Hollywood’s agronomical air
p2p news / p2pnet: Hollywood is taking on a distinctly agronomical air.
After performing meritorious services for Hollywood in particular and various other vested US interests in general, United States Trade Representative Rob Portman is moving along to pastures new.
“His voice on behalf of greater protection and market access for American creative industries [read Big Six movie studios] will be missed,” laments Farmer Dan Glickman, who heads up Hollywood’s MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America).
Not to worry, though. Former deputy US trade rep Susan C. Schwab is taking over and, “I look forward to working with her in the months ahead to advance the cause of fair access to fair markets on behalf of American industry,” says Glickman who, in another life, was US secretary of agriculture.
Schwab, in turn, originally joined the USTO as an agricultural trade negotiator.
And to further underline Hollywood’s growing closeness to Mother Earth, Glickman has also appointed Greg Frazier as svp for international trade policy.
Frazier, Glickman’s special advisor since 2004, was also Farmer Dan’s chief of staff at the agricultural department.

“I look forward to working with her in the months ahead to advance the cause of fair access to fair markets on behalf of American industry,”
Correction: Should have said
“I look forward to working with her in the months ahead to advance the cause of our nationless investors and monopolies”.

Given all of the experience these people have from the time with the Department of Agriculture, their skill and experience should be a good fit with the MPAA since they must certainly be well acquainted with manure and it’s various uses.
