Mydoom.F snacks on RIAA site
p2pnet.net News:- The RIAA web site is offline.
Again.
It’s web page is hacked with monotonous regularity, but this time the crash is apparently down to MyDoom.F, the Mydoom variant created with Big Music’s American mouthpiece and Microsoft especially in mind.
Two out of three Mydoom.F distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks zero in on Microsoft, says thewhir.com here, but while Microsoft’s site is functioning as normal, the RIAA page is down.
“According to mi2g, a UK-based digital risk firm, the Web site for the RIAA came under a severe DDoS attack last night, rendering it inaccessible from a number of cities around the world,” says the story.
[We've just learned the RIAA site is now back online. That's a relief.]
