p2pnet and Prince Robert Kabba
p2p news / p2pnet: We get half-a-dozen or more Nigerian-style 419 emails every day, but they’re usually such obvious scams that we bin them.
Meanwhile, we’ve long suspected that p2pnet is perused by notables, possibly even by royalty, and this has now been confirmed by an invitation for us to engage in a lucrative and only slightly dodgy business deal with no lesser personage than Prince Robert Kabba, only son of the late Chief Anthony Kabba of Sierra-Leone.
How do we now it’s genyooine? It’s got his phone number and email addie. So it’s gotta be for real.
Right?
And since believe in sharing good fortune, we’ve included both in the message we received from His Royalfulness, reproduced exactly as it arrived.
There is, however, a qualification.
No doubt you’ll be calling and emailing him and we’d like to know how it goes.
AND our share will be 80% for providing the contact. Fair enough?
Here you go, then ; P >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I think everyone get’s those lame emails (I get a few hundred spam a day). Funny that this one was sent from a UK yahoo account given it’s claims
Regardless, it’s suggested that people NOT contact persons like this (unless you really really like spam and the latest and greatest varients of the spam to be packaged just for you).
It is definately a known problem though and people give these guys millions every year. http://www.potifos.com/fraud/
Email should be simply setup to only allow email from people/companies you know and trust – if you have not added them to your auth list, they go to the spam folder.
Just my 10 cents.

I created a gmail account in January to use just for my job hunting purposes. I’ve only used it on my resume and when submitting to recruiters. I now get 3-5 spam messages a day……. of course my hotmail gets 300-500…lol.

I accidentally put my gmail address on my webpage.. it was only for a week or so….before changing the display to read @gmail dot com…now I get about 150 spam emails a week.
Only a true loser who gets maybe 1 or 2 emails a year would brag about how much better google mail is to yahoo or hotmail. Send a few emails and it won’t be long you’ll be swimming in it.
