The problem has become worse since the advent of Multi-million and multi-billion dollar corporations, such as those that make up the entertainment industry and the computer technology industry, spawned as it was by the insatiable greed of Microsoft. The only way we Americans are going to take back our government is by the use of that incredibly powerful little tool, the single vote allotted to each adult American. Congress must be made to understand that our single votes are more powerful than the billions of dollars used to line their pockets and re-election campaign chests. Even so, until we Americans wake up to the fact that the abrogation of even the simplest of our civil rights is the basis upon which all of our rights will be ripped from us, we are hopelessly doomed to slip into a dictatorship of the wealthy. We must vote against every incumbent who has voted his support of the PATRIOT Act and those pocket-lining copyright laws. Put aside partisanship. Vote for the Greenpeace party or the Libertarians, if you must, but vote against the bought and sold incumbents. Refuse to return them to Congress where they can continue to erode our freedoms. And do not listen to those who insist that it is best to sacrifice some small degree of liberty to assure our safety. Remember the words of Ben Franklin: “They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” And taking that one step further – by giving up essential liberties, they are destined to lose their safety. This is the epitomy of arrogance and stupidity of a people. Fuck this, I have no more sympathy for Americans. The RIAA/MPAA have effectively purchased itself the most powerful nation on earth, they've won without a fight or so much as a whisper. These Americans are NUTS !
