Morpheus 5.2 adds podcast

ADVERTISING FEATURE

Morpheus maker StreamCast Networks has just delivered a new version of its software, Morpheus 5.2, which promises professional and amateur podcasters and video creators the option to take advantage of the cost savings in bandwidth while enjoying the efficiencies of P2P distribution by allowing its users to easily search and subscribe to a plethora of podcasts.

“The new Morpheus offers a dynamic way to discover podcasts,” said Morpheus ceo Michael Weiss.

Morpheus’ podcasting power can sync podcasts with your iTunes* library for easy transferring to iPods* and other MP3 players. “We’re making it easier, more convenient, and beneficial than ever for podcasters, video creators and self publishers to join the Morpheus revolution,” said Weiss.

“We’re committed to establishing new ways for content owners to utilize Morpheus as one of the world’s most advanced internet tools available,” he added.

For consumers, Morpheus is a first-of-its-kind P2P application that enables people to instantly find, subscribe, listen, and share endless podcasts from the Internet’s library of millions of podcasts. Podcasters can also benefit by saving money on bandwidth costs while families and friends can share files of unlimited size including pictures and video clips.

In a new era of user-generated content, Morpheus promises podcasters new ways to reach audiences more efficiently and effectively than video submission sites. Searches for podcasts with the new Morpheus 5.2 reveal results that give users option to subscribe to pay-to-listen audio and video podcasts or subscribe to popular free podcasts.

“It is equally exciting to celebrate Morpheus’ fifth anniversary this week with the release of this brand new version of our software that delivers the ultimate file sharing experience with a dynamic way to discover podcasts,” says Weiss.

The new, fully-loaded Morpheus 5.2 with Podcast beta is available for FREE download at www.morpheus.com.

  2. Reader's Write Says:

I guess now that BearShare isnt paying the bills here, we’re gonna see more of these kinds of “stories”….

  3. Reader's Write Says:

bearshare? what about blubster and warez? and so what? who looks?

  4. Reader's Write Says:

    ” in it as a trojan?? ”

No! not really, but morpheus isn´t really the best for…

    take a look at this:

    Shareaza

  5. Reader's Write Says:

downloaded 5.2 ….. could not download a single thing. Searches were it and miss. Time to move on to another network.

  6. Reader's Write Says:

Hey Morpheus – happy birthday, we love you, and good luck for Monday (I think the civil jury trial starts then, or maybe its just a procedural hearing??? dont know – you cant believe everything you read!!!) anyway best wishes.

  7. Reader's Write Says:

Unlike the trash you find in the mainstream media that has a “journalist’s” name on it but which is really copied straight from the press release. I hear the marketing departments are now handing out thesauruses to make it easier for reporters to change words and disguise the blatent advertising.

  8. Reader's Write Says:

They support p2pnet so fair is fair.

  9. Reader's Write Says:

Yeah, props to Morpheus for staying alive. I’m still a fan because they continue development, advancing gnutella and their neo – between Morpheus, Blubster, Limewire, and Shareza, everything is there. Where’s iMesh, Grokster, Mashboxx, Kazaa, Limewire, Napster, Yahoo, Real, iTunes, etc. supporting p2pnet?

  10. Reader's Write Says:

Yeah Jon Newton is supported by Mallware ……The **AA’s

  11. Reader's Write Says:

    Hi,
I hate jon newton so much that I will say absolutely anything to
be a disruption on this site :) .
It doesn’t really matter if it’s true or not, it just makes me feel
better about living in gramma’s basement.

I also eat dead flies and library paste :P

  12. Reader's Write Says:

Bearshare is gone, or will be as soon as they pay the RIAA $30M! Blubster is gone, and their site redirects to Manolito.

Not many P2P players left! Need to support the few that are still around and those that work.

This site is so good, I really don’t mind the ads. They’re all P2P anyway.
