MS releases Vista betas
p2p news / p2pnet: Bill and the Boyz have released test versions of their delayed Windows Vista and Office 2007, and of Windows Longhorn server for corporate networks.
“Vista’s second test version, or beta, is critical in determining whether engineers have made enough progress to meet the January retail release date,” says the Chicago Tribune.
“Microsoft has said it would need to delay the retail availability that had been planned for this year, and analysts are worried that the release of Vista will slip further into 2007.”
The story has industry analyst Michael Cherry saying previous tests, including some earlier this year, have been unstable and difficult to use.

Any OS, app, or hardware that is designed around the concept that the end user is “the enemy” will ALWAYS be “difficult to use”. Duh.
Vista is EVIL. NEVER buy, use, or go near ANYTHING with a TPM chip in it, EVER!!!
P.S. And yes, Microsoft, largely at the behest of the “content industry” considers YOU to be the enemy.
