Online Mexican border watchers

p2p news / p2pnet: President George W. Bush’s home state of Texas wants surfers around the world to serve as remote p2p US border watchers.

Live Mexican border surveillance footage of the would be shown online to allow, “web users worldwide to watch Texas’ border with Mexico and phone the authorities if they spot any apparently illegal crossings,” says the BBC, going on:

“Texas Governor Rick Perry said the cameras would focus on ‘hot-spots and common routes’ used to enter the US,” and a, “stronger border is what Americans want and it’s what our security demands and that is what Texas is going to deliver.”

The cameras will cost $5m (£2.7m) to install and will coved sections of the 1,000-mile (1,600km) border known to be favoured by illegal immigrants, says the BBC, adding:

“Web users who spot an apparently illegal crossing will be able to alert the authorities by telephoning a number free of charge.”

I hope the mexicans moon them, it gets captured and the mexicans then sue the US gov for illegal distribution.

    Even more ignorant is this:
    http://www.livescience.com/scienceoffiction/060531_rfid_chips.html

    Quote:
“RFID tags have long been used to identify animals in a variety of settings; livestock, laboratory animals and pets…” and now Mexicans too!

Doesn’t get more ignorant than that

What we need is a home grown www site (off shore from court order with no extradition treaties like the caymen islands) and call it IgnorantFuqs.com and get my russian friends to reg it.

Then add trash like that and the companies who technology, products and services should be listed and boycotted, Heck add kaza’s badware to it to.

  4. Reader's Write Says:

    wtf are you talking about?

those people dont go there and steal stuff then work on anything while the owner is not around

they do shitty work for a low payment (low compared to other us salaries) so u can have all those junkies leeching from their goverment check doing nothing but getting high, drunk or even stealing

u should better start taking off the street all those junkies so that way youll have less people in need of drugs, so youll stop drug dealing in the border, and at the same time youll have them working so you wont need cheap inmigrant workers

I know I’m going to get slamed for this but here it goes…

Lets see, A person comes to the door of my home, asks for food for work. I feed him after he mows my yard, paints the fence etc… He leaves and tells a friend of his. His friend comes over, I’m not home, instead of waiting for me he picks my lock, enters my home illegally and raids my refrigerator. He then proceeds to do the dishes, vacuum, and clean the bathrooms and leaves. And I’m the bad guy when I get upset about it and try to stop it.

    Talk about Unbelievable.

I was doing multiple things on my computer at one time and forgot I was logged in under admin when I made the above comments I was simply trying to draw a comparrison between doing something the right way and doing the same thing the wrong way.

I don’t support many things my government does however this is one topic I support 100%. Internet access to the cameras I feel is a good thing. Nearly Every country has restrictions on imigration. Nearly Every country requires some form of documentation for workers from other nations. Why is the United States the only country being slamed for it?? Honestly I do not understand the logic.

dispite the benifits of undocumented workers, they do not have the right to bypass the system to enter and work. The US has every right to secure and protect it’s boarders as does every other country. However, the U.S also has an obligation to legalize more foriegn workers then it currently does. I do not believe in paying taxes so that others who do not contribute taxes to the system, can benifit from our health care and public education free of charge. There has to be a good solution but My anology is accurate and I stand by it. Sorry if this offends someone but that’s my view.

Well the person who originally replied to your comment was a Mexican IT manger from Mexico Who became a little sensitive to the plight here.

He took the time to check it out on my request.

He saw the part where you said Mexicans pick locks [break into homes] and eat the food in your fridge then cleans your toilet.

Thats one person not comming back here. Congrats!

As for your comments. You can say as you want. Maybe we should start tracking and ear-tagging the American war-dodgers like little wild pigs. Or start a minute-man Militia on the border to trap and tag those american animals and insert rf-tags or brand them or attach collars?

You are a racist and a very ignorant person.

Hate breeds hate. Racism breeds racism.

Thank you for breeding even more.

I apologize to my friend should he return to read this, and an apology was sent via message for asking him to come here. I will not ask anyone non-white american to visit here again.

    Thanks.

  8. Reader's Write Says:

Well I can certinly understand the IT managers sensitivity, yours I cannot. So let me clarify.

I’m sorry I didn’t realize that an anology is such a hard concept for some people to grasp so I’ll elaborate.

The house is a metaphor for a country, in this case the United States. The food is a metaphor for the services that any individual in this country LEGALLY receives IE medical, schooling, welfare etc…. The act of work is a metaphor for the economic benifit the outside workers provide to the country (home). When a person is invited in to help they are entitled to all the benifits and respect within that home. (country). When a person enters the home (country) without permission (IE picking the lock) reguardless of the reason it is WRONG. doesn’t matter who they are.

from the online American Heritage Dictionary metaphor is defined as… “One thing conceived as representing another; a symbol:” Also I reread my previous post and I never made mention of mexicans in the anology. also when you see it in the context of the metaphors of the story (with an open mind and without preconcieved ideas) it is quite clear it DOES NOT imply that mexicans are thieves who steal and are only good for cleaning toilets. It does say that ANYONE from any country who enters another country without the propper documentation for whatever reason can be stopped and/or deported. If I tried to enter Mexico without going through the propper channels what do you think would happen to me.

Nearly every country has these type of rules and restrictions but only Americans (or should I say White European Americans) are considered racists. who’s more closed minded.

My son is part Mexican. I never would’ve gotten engaged to his mother If I were racist. My Dr. is Chineese, my previous doctor was from Pakistan. My family on my mothers side imigrated from Ireland through Canada, I have family I know and love who are gay. I would think first if I were you about throwing around the word Racist before you even know what you’re talking about.

My intent was not to insult your friend and I’m sorry If I did. My intent is to try (through metaphors) to explain why boarder security is important for ANY country. I hope your friend can understand where I’m coming from.

As for you, I don’t play politically correct games. You need to get off your high horse and see the debate for what it is instead of running around assuming anyone who takes my position is a racist. Your friends argument is a good one for the US to change it’s laws and allow a lot more migrant workers into the country that’ll help everyone. That’s where we should focus. However it’s not a good argument to justify allowing anyone to walk into our country without being documented anytime they want. That’s not racist, that’s common sense, and all countrys do it.

  9. Reader's Write Says:

What is needed are turrets every 1/2 mile along the border. When these ILLEGAL aliens try to ILLEGALLY enter the U.S., they should be shot.

  10. Reader's Write Says:

immigration control is one thing, paranoia and hysteria are another.
and remember rednecks, its not even your country.
you murdered generations of natives, and stole it.
so shut up, and be grateful all the displaced people who you have fuqqed over dont all turn up at once.
