WiMAX-linked health problems?
p2p news / p2pnet: Last month, May 23, to be exact, "Sweden’s STV broadcast a segment in their current affairs program "Debatt" that raises some rather irksome health questions about WiMAX, the wireless broadband system heavily funded by Intel," says whirlpool.net.au.
Apparently, within hours of the new WiMAX base-station in Göten being activated, the local hospital emergency service was getting calls from people who lived nearby.
They were complaining of symptoms, " ranging from sharp headaches to difficulty breathing, blurry vision, and even two cases of heart arrhythmia," says the story, but, "All symptoms abated once the sufferer relocated away from the base-station."
Sweden was the first country to recognise electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) as a valid medical condition, going so far as to set up a federal body to help victims, and now, the Swedish government is being told to close down WiMAX networks, "pending further investigation into the claims," adds whirlpool.net.au.
So, is EHS real?
It’s, "characterized by a variety of non-specific symptoms that differ from individual to individual," sys the Whorld Health Organization (WHO), going on:
"The symptoms are certainly real and can vary widely in their severity. Whatever its cause, EHS can be a disabling problem for the affected individual.
"EHS has no clear diagnostic criteria and there is no scientific basis to link EHS symptoms to EMF exposure. Further, EHS is not a medical diagnosis, nor is it clear that it represents a single medical problem."
Meanwhile, "WiMAX is a standards-based wireless technology that provides high-throughput broadband connections over long distances," says Intel. "WiMAX can be used for a number of applications, including "last mile" broadband connections, hotspots and cellular backhaul, and high-speed enterprise connectivity for business."

i don’t believe such a problem truly exists however i do believe in the scientific process
and there is now an identified population that can be tested to prove and disprove this problem and microsoft as a massivly interested party should assist in funding the swedes to convince this population to participate in testing for the next year
example live hear permit blind (we dont tell you if the tower is on or off )
testing if symptoms exist report to doctor’s/center immediatly via phone then in person
if at end of a year syndrome is determined to be real/plausible then recieve full yearly salary and moving assistance
if syndrome is not found to be r/p then recieve 25% of years salary for participating
i say prove it don’t just claim it
