The Pirate Bay: home again
p2p news / p2pnet: It looks like The Pirate Bay is back home again. It had to move because the Swedish police raided their servers. But, after a short stay in The Netherlands the torrent tracker returned to their provider ‘PRQ’ in Sweden.
At least, that`s what the ip info tells us.
Another point of interest is the reverse DNS that sends out a clear message to the MPAA and their friends:
hey.mpaa.and.apb.bite.my.shiny.metal.ass.thepiratebay.org.
All the controversy surrounding The Pirate Bay initially doubled their traffic, but it`s now back to normal.
In the meanwhile, the Dutch anti-piracy organization ‘BREIN’ successfully threatened TPB`s new provider ‘Nforce’ to stop hosting the controversial torrent tracker. However, this seems to be irrelevant now, since The Pirate Bay has returned to its base.
I guess the Swedes will probably think twice now before they take action, considering the negative reactions that folowed the previous attempt to take down The Pirate Bay.
