New China anti-cyber cafe move
p2p news / p2pnet: China has launched a campaign to monitor Beijing’s the city’s 1,007 licensed Internet cafes.
"The aim of the campaign is to get cyber cafes to run in an orderly manner by severely punishing illegal operators," says state agency Xinhua, pointing out that in 2004, when the country also staged a nationwide campaign, "to rectify Internet cafes breaking government rules," 50,000 unlicensed cyber cafes were shut down.
Nonetheless, "according to a recent report from the China Radio International, the malpractice of illegal cyber cafes in urban suburbs, small towns and the countryside remains a problem," says Xinhua.
The drive, "started on Wednesday by the city’s bureaux of culture, public security, industry and commerce," mainly targets cafes, "breaking government rules on Internet management and admitting minors, a rising concern in the Chinese capital recently,": it states, going on:
"Once found breaking government rules, the paper noted, Internet cafes will face three types of punishment.
"A cyber cafe which admits minors twice or three minors at one time will be ordered to stop business for two weeks while a cafe that permits eight minors at one time or allows minors in twice will have its business licence revoked.
" Meanwhile, those Internet cafes breaking government rules or running without a business licence will be made public through the media."
Beijing also runs a round-the-clock hotline, 12318, "to receive public reports, says Xinhua.
People offering tips, "will be rewarded" it says, adding:
"According to a report yesterday in the Beijing-based daily newspaper The First, the North China municipality intends to completely wipe out’ the rampant malpractice among the city’s Internet cafes, especially the practice of running without a licence and admitting minors."

People in repressive nations such as Red China and the Police States of Amerika should collectively ignore the government and defend themselves using deadly force if necessary to protect their rights. Red China and the Police States of Amerika are quite alike in many regards. Businesses (big business that is) are allowed to run roughshod over ordinary people, and their property with virtual impunity. Police and other government agaencies are also allowed to do the same.
I just wonder if the people in Red China think they are “free.” I know that most people in the P.S.A. think they are free. In the P.S.A., we will soon be celebrating “Independence Day.” I just wonder how the P.S.A. is independent. The governments and big business of the P.S.A. have collaborated to sell out the people to countries such as China where slave labor is rampant. We the people of the P.S.A. are dependent on other nations for our food, oil, clothes, and nearly everything else we use. We in the P.S.A. were once a very independent nation, but now that has changed. We have become dependent on slave who work for very low wages because our corrupt government officials choose to regulate American companies out of business while at the same time inviting importers of goods which do not have as many regulations to obey to run roughshod over our economy.
Now us in the Police States of Amerika have become slave and most of us do not even know it. We are slaves to Federal, local, and state governments to which we pay over 50% of our income in “taxes.” We are slaves to the various governments
which dictate how we build our houses, travel, keep our yards, run our businesses, plant our crops, and much more. A document that is called the “Constitution” once protected our God-given rights is now treated as a mere “historical document” The courts and legislative bodies routinely ignore most of its provisions or find loopholes within the document to do as they please.
We are given so called choices at the ballot box as to who we want to rule over us, but one must spend large amounts of money to even get one’s name on the ballot. The propaganda outlets called the media only pushes for candidates called “Democrats” or “Republicans.” Those who do not sell themselves to the high bidders have little chance to be heard on the same level as the corrupted, sellout candidates. It even turns out that it is likely that votes are manipulated by new electronic voting machines which leave no paper audit trail and which are run by programs that are guarded as trade secrets. Votes can be easily manipulated by only a few lines of code.
We no longer live in a free nation. We cannot even emigrate to another nation in hopes of finding freedom unless we have special connections. Goods can move to other nations, however people have a hard time doing so. We have continue along the same path as many other police states. We now even have an “internal security” apparatus called, “The Department of Homeland Security.” This agency operates in secret while at the same time providing little security except to government agencies. Yes, we have a high standard of living compared to many other nations, but his is not likely to continue for long as we dig ourselves deeped into debt.
No, I do not find very much to celebrate this fourth of July. I will celebrate when citizens of the P.S.A. decide to pay oppressive taxes and fines in pennies, glue the locks on government and police agencies, turn off their power, vandallize their heating/ventilation/cooling units, bombard their offices with phone calles, made up forms and anything else that will bring corrupt agencies to a halt. I will celebrate when corrupt judges and politicians are afraid to step out of their homes (even under guard) for fear of retribution for their corrupt acts and rulings. I will celebreate when juries refuse to convict people of violating unconstitional or corrupt laws in spite of a judge’s instructions. I will celebrate when photocop or police surveillance cameras that are used for money grabs are destroyed by angry citizens. Most of all, I will celebrate when local, state, and federal governments, once again become subservient and afraid of the people. It is then and only then will the Police States of Amerika become the United States of America that I can be proud to be a citizen of.
