When I read this, I thought “This is nothing new, schools have always had the ability to search lockers, etc” Then I googled and found this:

That article seems to indicate that by claimin “drugs” they can probably get away with it.

and if these students too dumb to use their cell phones erase logs and messages they receive and send on the phones what then? Can they hold the phones and wait/intercept a message? Why not just ban the units altogether, kind of like while driving?

well i guess 1984 has returned to the U.S. Is big brother here now?
I guess the students have lost there right to privacy.
