Meet the Sansa Monsta
p2p news / p2pnet: SanDisk’s ‘iSheep’ ads were aimed at people who bought iPods. But now a lizard-like creature, “tearing an iSheep to bloody bits,” has taken over
The quotes come in a PC Magazine story which says the new ‘Lil’ Monsta’ mascot is based around SanDisk’s Sansa flash-based MP3 players, which compete with the iPod, Creative’s Zen, and other rivals.
“The Sansa includes features that the iPod lacks, SanDisk said, like a larger color screen, voice recorder, FM radio, a microSD expansion slot, durable rear metal casing and a user-replaceable lithium-ion battery," says the story.
And, “Currently, the Sansa also holds slightly more music than the iPod,” it states, but, “the 6-Gbyte Sansa e270 is also priced slighty [sic] higher, at $279.99. The additional microSD slot also allows up to an additional 1 Gbyte of removable storage to be added. Apple’s 4-Gbyte nano, by contrast, costs $249.”
But guess what?
Users can’t, “download music purchased through the iTunes music store to the Sansa, although the player will play music purchased through stores certified by Microsoft’s ‘Plays For Sure’ campaign,” says PC Magazine.
