The big question I have is, WHY does the "real" owner of Empornium (if, indeed, it ISN'T TargetPoint, which I do not actually believe) not want to be identified? He's only going to hurt the site more (though its demise is pretty much already guaranteed, with the quality of posted torrents dropping rapidly.) by keeping up all the secrecy.

It doesn't matter. The membership of Empornium is leaving. The Empornium had a core base of content providers and seeders that were a tightly knit community. The former admins did an excellent job despite the problems and whenever anyone had a gripe the admins addressed the issue promptly.

Saz always kept a steady hand on the tiller, but he seems to have disappeared from the scene about 9 months ago. Since that time the site has had a growing undercurrent of disquiet.

I don't know, or care, if Empornium is now owned by Targetpoint or not. The community has made up it's collective mind to follow the admins and content providers and I as a member of that community will also abandon Empornium and move to Cheggit. That's the bottom line.

So who's telling the truth? It's utter fustration.
