Prince site goes offline
p2p news / p2pnet: Prince’s NPG Music Club site is in the black. But that’s not because busines is booming. Rather, it’s gone offline.
“Has the time come to once again make a leap of faith and begin anew?” – asks a notice to members, says Billboard. “ These are questions we in the NPG need to answer,” says the missive, continuing, “ In doing so, we have decided to put the club on hiatus until further notice.”
NPG, for Prince’s New Power Generation band, went online in 2001 and, “ had also been dealing with ongoing complaints about its traffic-heavy ticket section,” says the story, adding:
“The complaints resulted in Prince lowering the membership price to $2.50 a month (from $7.75) or $25 (from $100 for a premium annual membership ) for a lifetime membership.”
