MySpace MalWare
p2pnet.net News:-VeriSign iDefense’s Michael La Pilla was searching MySpace on July 16 when he noticed a patio furniture ad prompted a file called exp.wmf.
“If installed, up to five adware programs could have landed on the users’ computers,” says PC Magazine.
As a result, more than 1,000,000 MySpace users could have been, "bombarded with pop-up adverts and had their net browsing habits monitored by the malicious software," says the BBC.
"Reports suggest the advert has been running on MySpace for about a week."
La Pilla contacted MySpace, but the company said it had already taken the ad down and was working to find its source, says PC Magazine.”
