p2pnet.net News:- MTV Networks has dived into the social networking morass with MTV Flux which, says Pocket-Lint, “will allow members to upload their own content on to television, be part of an online interactive community and ultimately control their very own TV channel”.

“Users will get a manga and Japanese animation styled basic avatar design which they will then be able to manipulate into the image they want to represent them in the Flux on-screen community,” says the story.

MTV Flux will launch a site on August 1, “enabling viewers to adopt an animated figure which will represent their online presence,” says the BBC.

Users who accrue the most on-screen time, “will have a greater influence in deciding the channel’s running order,” it says, adding the TV service is slated to go on air in September.
