Microsoft DIY games
p2pnet.net News:- Now you too can make money for Microsoft. That’s because Bill and the Boyz have zoomed in on what could be a huge new profit centre —– with you doing all the work.
DIY games.
People “with little technical background” will be allowed to use Microsoft’s XNA Game Studio Express to build their own video games for Windows and the Xbox 360.
Eventually, Microsoft wants to, ” host a community-powered arcade that features homegrown games developed by its users” and, “hopes that by making the tools broadly available, it can increase the number of games and even game ideas in development,” says The Seattle Times.
“It could decide to publish those games and take a cut of sales revenue, but is not demanding an exclusive first look at the titles.”
Not only but also, “Users will need a PC running Windows XP – or Vista in the future – to operate the tools program, called XNA Game Studio Express,” the BBC points out, adding, “The tools will be available in trial form from 20 August and there is a $99 (£55) annual subscription.”
