Madonna on a Cross!
p2pnet.net News:- You know the phrase Christ on a Cross? It can now be applied literally and figuratively to Madonna’s latest fiasco.
There was world-wide outrage when a Swedish cartoonist lampooned the prophet Mohammed in a Swedish newspaper.
But Madonna has gone further, much further, posing on stage as a female disco Jesus ——- on a Cross.
A source claims Madonna will descend to the stage on the glittering disco-ball crucifix, covered with diamonds and Swarovski crystals, said ContactMusic.com. The ball is rumoured to cost $10 million (GBP5.7 million), and is being constructed at a well-guarded airplane hangar in Los Angeles for her CONFESSION ON A DANCE FLOOR tour. According to the source:
” ‘It’ll create a blinding light, like she’s landing on the spaceship from E.T’.
Er, Yes …
Anyhow, German prosecutors are to monitor Madonna’s concert to determine whether a mock crucifixion could be construed as insulting religious beliefs, says the BBC. The segment of her tour where she appears on a cross wearing a crown of thorns has provoked controversy in several countries.
Prosecutors admit they will rely on media reports of the concert rather than send their own observers.
But, “This is a blasphemous challenge to the faith and a profanation of the Cross, said cardinal Ersilio Tonino, speaking with the Pope’s approval, and quoted in The Telegraph. She should be excommunicated, he went on. To crucify herself in the city of popes and martyrs is an act of open hostility. It is nothing short of a scandal and an attempt to generate publicity.”
According to the story, Vatican official bishop Velasio De Paolis, said: “How this woman can take the name of the mother of Christ, I don’t know. Her show represents the rotten fruit of secularism and the absurdity of evil.”
Any chance of someone ‘accidentally’ leaving her up there?
Nah ……

This is not a very respectful thing for Madonna to parody. It is a shame, but I cannot expect much from her.

NOT! Seriously, when michael jackson made that video with the huge statue of himself posing as some rebel, everyone thought his ego was through the roof and laughed at him. I hope everyone laughs at madonna when she tries to be a saviour on her faked cross aswell.

You be right.
Madonna has always pushed the edges so why does this strike people as such a horrific thing? I mean, this is Madonna we talking about, right? The one who did the boy-toy thing?
