Or, rather, I read ;p

I know what you mean, but I had to do something. A lot of the spam was hard-core porn, including kiddie porn. Google searches in various countries would turn up the 'subject' and people would be directed to the p2pnet comment post with all the links.

p2pnet. Porn finder. Very nice. I don't have anything against erotica - it's nothing new: been around for a few centuries - but I hate anything to do with kids. And there are still a lot of posts which I haven't yet expunged. I'm killing as many as I can every day but with thousands to deal with, it'll take a while.

Meanwhile, I'll try and come up with something that'll solve this particular problem.

Cheers!

Throughly familiar with ctrl+c and ctrl+v. That doesn't prepare you for the first experience where the R and the A are so alike as to be hard to tell which is which on the smaller fonts. It was the main reason for the first initial post loss after the strings came into effect.

I was exasperated at losing a fairly lengthly post and was not going to retype it. Such happens and I guess that is where we learn.

I agree; I lost a post, too. Sure, now I'll keep a copy on the clipboard, but who's to know? At the very least, the "you failed" page should show you a copy of your text, so that you can copy it THEN and paste it back in. My "rimage.php" had a symbol in it that could have been any of {Iil:1}.

The same happened to me several times on other topics. I understand Jon's need and the effort he has to put into cleaning up after a spam bot has run; still the present string has a bit of problems in plainly displaying the figures for making a post. That allows for mistakes and then the loss of a post if it is not correct as it doesn't return you to the original post but rather to a blank screen. If you didn't save your post or copy it before entering the string, it is gone.

As a result, several of the topics and articles that I would have commented on I gave up in disgust rather than re-type the entire thing yet again. There's some growing used to it I have yet to accomplish.
