Microsoft’s IE7
p2pnet.net News:- Bill and the Boyz have released what they’re call a “near-final” version of their Internet Explorer 7 browser with completion slated for the end of the year.
And to no one’s surprise, one of its ‘new’ features is ability to open multiple tabs in the same window – just like Mozilla’s Firefox and Opera before it.
Another new feature is Quick Tabs. After opening multiple tabs, users can see and manage them with a thumbnail view in one window, just like Firefoxers have been able to do for some time via an extension.
Go here for more bells and whistles and meanwhile, the Associated Press has Microsoft Tony Chor, a group program manager with Internet Explorer, saying the company hadn’t yet decided if it will put out one more test version before the final product release, adding:
“IE 7 will be available for download for people using Windows XP, and it will be included in the forthcoming version of Windows, called Vista. After many delays, Vista is currently scheduled to be available for business users in November, and for consumers in January.”

Not quite. I had to play with IE7 some time back, and used tabs. They do not work the same.
Run FF and IE7 if you have both available.
Start up several tabs in both.
Switch between them, and watch what happens in the taskbar under Windows => FF window button doesn’t flinch, while IE7 window button clearly animates and changes for each tab as you switch. Sure IE7 can do tabs, but how they do it obviously isn’t like FF.
