AOL music site
p2pnet.net News:- AOL, the newest member of the StopBadware club, is trying to revive its failing fortunes through music downloads.
“It aims to drive revenue through lucrative online advertising dollars rather than Internet access fees,” says Reuters.
AOL expects users to pay $10 to $15 a month for access to AOL Music Now.
“AOL bought Music Now last November from consumer electronics retailer Circuit City for an undisclosed sum and had run a preview edition in the months that followed,” says the story.
The distinctive feature of all download rentals (aka subscriptions) is carefully compiled music libraries vanish the instant subscribers stop subscribing.
