Greenpeace cores Apple
p2pnet.net News:- Greenpeace has ranked Nokia, Dell, with “barely respectable” scores, as the top two environmentally conscientious companies, with Apple almost at the bottom.
Nokia is good, but there’s “room for improvement on amounts recycled,” while Dell lost points for, “not yet having models without the worst chemicals”.
Apple? Low, “on almost all criteria”.
Greenpeace ranked leading mobile and PC manufacturers on their global policies and practice on eliminating harmful chemicals and on taking responsibility for their products once they’re discarded by consumers.
They were scored solely on information that is publicly available.
The absolute worst two were:
Motorola, “Points for chemicals management,” but, “Recently broke clean up promise,” and, Lenovo, “The lowest score of all companies.”
