Ubisoft ’secret’ titles online
p2pnet.net News:- Ubisoft is said to be unhappy that the names and artwork of unannounced, and confidential, titles turned up online.
“We are still investigating the events that lead to this information leak and at this time have no further comment,” GamesIndustry has a company spokesman saying.
Nor is this the first time Ubi has dropped one, it seems.
In March, “a release schedule appeared on a US consumer site revealing release dates for multiple titles, many of which hadn’t been announced at the time, while also pointing towards a November release for Sony’s PlayStation 3 console,” says the story.
A two-gig .rar file on the Ubi.com FTP server containing information, video, artwork and screens from its upcoming roster of titles, says IGN, adding:
“The offending Ubisoft archive, originally discovered by those wags over at neoGAF, has since been removed.”
Included in the archive are:
- Assassins Creed
- Far Cry 2
- Far Cry PSP
- Far Cry Wii
- Lost
- Naruto 360
- Open Season
- Prince of Persia 4
- Rainbow 6: Vegas
- Rocky PSP
- Splinter Cell Conviction
- Surf’s Up
- Star Wars PSP
- Shaun White Snowboarding
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles GBA
